Microchipping

Microchipping is a safe procedure that involves the injection of a small chip under the skin at the scruff of the neck.

This means that if your dog or cat goes missing, as soon as it is found it will be scanned and you will be reunited with your pet.

Depending on your pet, our vets may recommend implanting the chip at the time of your pet's vaccination or when it is asleep when it is being neutered (desexed).

It is a legal requirement in Tasmania that all dogs must be microchipped if they are 6 months old.
